The story of Clean Air Pros began long before our first van hit the road. Our founders, Monica and George Stelea, immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio from Romania following the revolution. They arrived with a dream of building a better life for their children, Oana and Rares — names steeped in history, gifted by 15th-century Romanian royalty.
For decades, the Steleas embodied the American work ethic. Monica built a dedicated following as a massage therapist, while George mastered the technical trades as an electrician and handyman. But when retirement finally arrived, they found they weren't quite ready to slow down. They had too much energy, too much skill — and as it turned out, a new mission waiting for them.
That mission arrived quietly — through a grandchild who struggled to breathe indoors. George, always the problem-solver, investigated. What he found inside the family's ductwork was shocking — and it ignited something in him. If this was happening in their home, how many Columbus families were living with the same invisible problem?
